Fiona – Light Therapy Manager
About Me and my personal story with Chronic Pain
I’m Fiona, originally from Ireland, now based in Australia since 2013. My journey with chronic pain began in 2022 when I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia, a condition that changed everything. After trying countless treatments, I discovered LED Light Therapy through a friend’s call, and it sparked a deep dive into research that changed my life.
What started as personal healing became a passion. I’ve studied the science behind LED therapy and invested in a full-spectrum chamber designed for real results, pain relief, recovery, and energy renewal.
This isn’t just a business, it’s personal. I’ve lived the journey of chronic pain, and I’m passionate about helping others find relief, restoration, and renewed energy through science-backed, compassionate care.
Every time you step into the chamber, I’ll be there, dedicated to your journey, offering consistent care informed by experience and research.
Client Story: Transforming Psoriasis with LED Light Therapy
When this client first came to Love Skin with Aydan, he was struggling with severe psoriasis that had impacted his confidence and comfort for years. His skin was inflamed, itchy, and visibly irritated—especially across his arms chest and back.
We designed a personalised LED Light Therapy protocol tailored to his skin’s needs:
His Treatment Plan:
- Frequency: 3 sessions per week
- Duration: 4 weeks
- Protocol:
- 12 minutes of Blue Light Therapy to target inflammation and reduce bacterial activity on the skin
- Followed by 20 minutes of Red and Near-Infrared Light at 850nm and 940nm to stimulate deep cellular repair, reduce redness, and support skin regeneration
Why Blue Light?
Blue light is especially effective for psoriasis because it:
- Helps calm overactive skin cells
- Reduces inflammation and redness
- Minimises bacterial presence on the skin’s surface
- Supports a clearer, more balanced complexion
The Results:
By the end of the 4-week program, This client had experienced a dramatic improvement in both the appearance and comfort of his skin.
- Redness and flaking was gone
- Inflammation had calmed
- His skin looked visibly healthier and smoother
He now continues with maintenance sessions and reports feeling more confident and comfortable in his skin than he has in years.
The Power of LED Light Therapy – Explained Simply
Curious how light can boost your skin health, energy, and overall wellness? Here’s the science made simple.
At the core of LED light therapy is a powerful process happening inside your cells. It all starts with your mitochondria, the tiny energy producers in every cell that help your body function, repair, and thrive.
When your skin is exposed to red and near-infrared light, a special molecule in your mitochondria called cytochrome c oxidase absorbs the light. This triggers a chain reaction that increases the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate)—the essential energy source your body uses for everything from healing to cell regeneration.
Why This Matters
- Repair and regenerate more efficiently
- Reduce inflammation
- Improve circulation
- Support collagen production
- Enhance overall cellular performance
In short, LED light therapy helps your body do what it’s already designed to do, just better and faster.

Frequently Asked Questions
LED Light Therapy is a non-invasive skincare treatment that uses varying wavelengths of light, including red, blue, and near-infrared, to improve skin health, reduce signs of aging, treat acne, promote healing, help with weight loss and chronic pain.
LED Light Therapy works by emitting light that penetrates the skin at different depths, triggering biological processes that help rejuvenate and repair the skin. Each wavelength has its specific effect.
Yes, LED light therapy is considered safe for most people. It’s non-invasive, doesn’t use UV light, and typically doesn’t cause side effects. However, eye protection should be used during treatment, and those with certain skin conditions or photosensitivity should consult a doctor first.
Sessions usually last between 20-30 minutes, depending on the treatment plan.
Visible improvements often begin after a few sessions, but optimal results are typically seen after several weeks of consistent use.
It depends on your individual skin concerns and goals. Typically, we recommend a course of 10 sessions to energize your cells and achieve optimal results. This usually involves 2–3 sessions per week, followed by 1 maintenance session per month to keep your skin glowing and healthy. Every treatment plan is customized to suit your unique needs, so we’ll work with you to create the perfect package.
At Love Skin with Aydan, we believe in providing accessible, premium-quality LED Light Therapy service tailored to your needs. Our pricing is as follows:

Evidence Based Studies for LED Light Therapy
There are over 7000 scientific articles proving the positive effects of LED Light Therapy
Stress is one of the most significant contributors to disease, depression, and anxiety. When the body is under prolonged stress, it triggers a cascade of physiological responses, including the release of cortisol and other stress hormones. While these hormones are essential for shortterm survival, chronic stress keeps them elevated, leading to a range of health problems. Prolonged stress weakens the immune system, making the body more susceptible to illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, and digestive disorders. Additionally, it disrupts the balance of neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, which are crucial for mood regulation. This imbalance can lead to mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety, creating a vicious cycle that further exacerbates physical and emotional health issues. Managing stress is, therefore, vital for both mental and physical well-being. Red and near-infrared light therapy reduces stress and oxidative stress by stimulating cellular repair and enhancing mitochondrial function. This boosts antioxidant production and promotes a calming effect on the nervous system.
The Science Behind LED Light Therapy
The best-studied mechanism of action surrounding red and near-infrared light therapy is the stimulation of mitochondrial energy production in the cells. Mitochondria are tiny organelles (organs within a cell) that produce all of the energy that our cells and our bodies ultimately need.
All molecules and atoms absorb very specific wavelengths of light. The specific molecule within the mitochondria that is thought to absorb red and near-infrared light is a chemical called cytochrome C oxidase. Cytochrome C oxidase plays an absolutely essential role in transferring electrons down an electrochemical gradient in mitochondria called the electron transport chain.
The electron transport chain is what drives the synthesis of ATP (adenosine triphosphate). ATP is a complex organic molecule that is considered the “currency” of energy in the body.
LED light therapy is ultimately thought to improve the efficiency and speed of the electron transport chain, improving the availability of ATP in the cells and throughout the body. This increased energy is what is thought to provide the many benefits that red light therapy is used for.
