Camouflage tattooing is a technique that aims to improve the appearance of Cancer Scars, and other areas affected by hypopigmentation. Hypopigmentation is a condition where colour is missing from the skin. The technique involves using a tattoo machine and medical-grade pigments to create custom-coloured pigments that match the individual’s skin tone. It is similar to permanent makeup or cosmetic tattooing, but the focus is specifically on the affected areas of the body.

The number of treatments required for camouflaging a specific area of concern would depend on the individual and has to be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Generally, it takes between 1 and 3 sessions to achieve the desired results. However, the exact number of treatments required can be determined more accurately once the skin has healed after the first session.

The period required for your skin to heal post-treatment typically ranges between 3 to 6 weeks. However, individuals with darker pigmentation may experience a period of up to 10 weeks or more due to their skin’s higher melanin content. To monitor your skin’s healing progress, we will schedule a follow-up appointment for 1 week and 4 weeks after your treatment. During these appointments, we will review your healing progress and discuss and book your next treatment accordingly.

Providing a standard pricing or quoting via message for skin preparation and camouflage tattoing is difficult. It is important to examine the texture and structure of the skin in person to determine the number of treatments required for an individual. Any type of loss of skin pigmentation in Cancer Scars can be improved through micro pigment colour correction. If you have stretch marks that are white or silver in colour and are flat in texture, then they are suitable for camouflage tattooing. However, if your stretch marks are new, purple or pink in colour, then ISR combined with Light Therapy may be the recommended treatment instead.

Individuals with specific medical conditions may not be able to undergo certain treatments. These conditions are;

• Suffer from infection such as hepatitis, HIV or rosacea
